Nelson is at the heart of the Wine industry with many well known vineyards in the region as well as Apple Orchards, Hops industry Greenshell Mussell industry and forestry, it is also the home of the Sealord and Talleys' fishing fleets and the local Scallop fishery is legionary.
DiveCentral is the premier PADI Five Star Dive Centre in Nelson, it has a modern comfortable training facility. You can learn to dive with the latest training equipment and comfortable dive gear or advance your dive skills with one of the many PADI dive courses available. Dive Central can fill your SCUBA diving tanks with either pure air tested regularly to ANZS 2299 by New Zealand Underwater or Enriched air .The team at Dive Central can service your dive equipment to make your dive experience safer and more enjoyable as well as guide you on tips and techniques.
For the more travel minded, Dive Central runs regular dive trips throughout the Pacific with adventures to Australia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Nuie and Rarotonga to mention a few
Diving in Nelson's temperate water is diverse with more than 2600km of coastline in the Marlborough Sounds alone, and more dive sites in Tasman Bay, Golden Bay . Dive sites vary from sand covered shallow bays through to Deep Wall dives, Nelson and Marlborough regions are lucky enough to have four Marine Reserves scattered throughout the region and they are at various stages of maturity. SCUBA divers, Freedivers and Spearfishing divers equally enjoy the area.
Our building has been sold and we need to find new premises for Dive Central but our team is busy exploring Vanuatu at present looking for new dive adventures for you and will be back in the mddle of October.

The Riwaka Resurgence is a great site for beginners although you will still need the help of an experienced local.
