1.Hapuku Rocks
Amazing reef which has it all, swimthroughs, weed and fish, this is a great photography dive with opertunities abound for a prize winning shot. Watch the current on the point.
2. Billhook Bay
A beautiful dive with clear water most times and the full array of fish, invertebrates and crusteceans as well as a huge variety of weeds. Average depth is 18metres and sometimes the rock tower that high above you.
3. Stephens Island
Just about anywhere on the island provides good diving from shallow through to extremely deep, the currents are vicious and change quickly but you are rewarded with great visibility and abundant fishlife
4. Devils Cauldron
This is ownly for the most experienced who know the tides and currents but the area is fascinating and can lure you into trouble quickly.
5. Rakiura Rocks
Named after the ship that struck them in 1915 these rocks provide a pieceful dive site with clear visibility a variety of fish species and big cracks in the rocks covered in encrusting life
6. Rakiura Wreck
The wreck of the Rakiura is spread ove a reasonably large area with kelp and weed covering it, you will need to get below the weed to find it in about 8metres of water but its worth the effort as plenty of life has made it its home
7. Victory Reef
A favourite for crayfish hunters this reef has always produced plenty of crays.
